  • Idaho A welcoming school district in Idaho is seeking a dedicated Virtual Sign Language Interpreter to support a 4th grade student for the remainder of the school year.
This is a full-time virtual opportunity for an interpreter who is passionate about supporting students and ensuring effective communication and access to education. The school is looking to interview ASAP , so qualified candidates are encouraged to apply immediately for consideration! Responsibilities Provide virtual sign language interpretation services for a 4th grade student. Facilitate clear and effective communication between the student, teachers, staff, and peers. Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, activities, and school-related communications. Support the student's access to the general education curriculum. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other members of the student's educational team. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and accurate documentation as required. Help create an inclusive and accessible learning environment for the student. Experience School-based interpreting experience preferred. Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively provide interpretation services in a virtual classroom environment. Reliable internet connection and appropriate technology for virtual services. Education, Certification & Requirements Candidates must meet applicable EIA requirements for educational interpreting. Candidates must also meet one of the following qualification pathways: EIPA score of 3.5 or higher , OR RID certification , OR NAD Level 3 or higher . If the candidate meets the applicable EIA requirements, the Idaho licensure requirement is waived. Qualified candidates who meet the requirements above are encouraged to apply immediately.
