This full-time position is perfectly suited for professionals passionate about supporting early learners and creating accessible, inclusive classroom experiences. As a member of the educational team, you'll provide vital communication access for a kindergarten student using American Sign Language (ASL). The schedule runs Monday through Friday, from 7:45 am to 2:50 pm, and includes a 45-minute unpaid lunch break.

Qualifications & Experience:

Certification or licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) in the state Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and thorough understanding of Deaf culture Previous experience interpreting in school settings or working with young children is highly desired Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and families Professionalism, reliability, and a nurturing attitude towards young learners In this role, your responsibilities will include: Providing direct, accurate sign language interpretation for a kindergarten student throughout the school day Interpreting classroom instruction, announcements, and social interactions Adapting language to be age-appropriate and engaging for young children Assisting the student in accessing curriculum and classroom activities Collaborating with educators and support personnel to foster a supportive learning environment This is an excellent chance to make a positive impact while developing your skills in an educational context.
