Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Enhance the educational experience of a Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH) student by serving as a dedicated 1:1 Sign Language Interpreter. In this contract position, you'll work closely with one student in a supportive school setting near Naperville, IL, facilitating effective communication between the student, their peers, and educators. Your expertise will help ensure full access to academic content and social interactions throughout the school day.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Previous experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings, especially with DHH students Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships with students and school staff Possession of relevant certifications or licensure (as required by state or district) Professionalism, empathy, and a collaborative spirit
Key Responsibilities:
