Qualifications & Desired Experience:

National certification or state licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with other manual communication methods Prior experience providing interpreting services in a school or educational setting preferred Ability to work collaboratively with special education teams, general educators, and related service providers Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Compassion, patience, and a commitment to fostering inclusivity and understanding

Responsibilities & Duties:

Deliver clear, accurate interpretation of spoken language into sign language and vice versa during classroom instruction, lectures, assemblies, meetings, and other school functions Support students educational engagement by interpreting both academic and extracurricular activities Collaborate with teachers and support staff to adapt communication for specific learning needs Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries in all interactions Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development as required Grow your professional skill set while making a direct impact on student success.
