Key Qualifications:

Proficiency in American Sign Language with an ASLPI score of 4.1 or higher Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably within a school environment Willingness to work onsite in a full-time capacity Flexibility to adapt communication style based on student needs Professional demeanor and strong commitment to confidentiality Open to candidates interested in travel assignments

Primary Responsibilities:

Facilitate clear communication between the student and teachers, staff, and peers Interpret classroom lessons, discussions, and school activities using expressive and receptive ASL skills Collaborate with educators to understand lesson plans and prepare for daily assignments Support the students participation in extracurricular activities and school functions Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment that empowers the student to thrive academically and socially Maintain accurate records and adhere to established ethical and professional standards
