As a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) for grades 9-12, youll actively facilitate classroom interactions and academic participation for a designated student, ensuring equal access to instruction and school activities.
Key Qualifications:
Skilled in American Sign Language (ASL) and adept at interpreting in educational settings Experience as a school interpreter or with students who use sign language strongly preferred Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and sensitivity to student needs Reliable communication and collaboration skills with students and school staff Prompt and dependable with excellent time management No certifications required for this position
What Youll Do:
Provide ASL interpretation during class, assemblies, and relevant school events Support one-on-one and group interactions as needed to bridge communication gaps Accurately convey spoken communication into sign language and vice versa Ensure clear and effective communication between assigned student and teaching staff Maintain a positive, supportive presence in academic and extracurricular settings

Hours:
