Job Description

Step into a rewarding, school-based role supporting a high school student as a Sign Language Interpreter for the upcoming 26/27 academic year. This onsite position offers the opportunity to collaborate with educators and help shape an inclusive environment for student success. The position is full-time, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, providing a stable workweek of 37.5 hours.
Desired Qualifications:
Current Educator certification Minimum EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) written test score of 75% Either a 4.0 or above on the EIPA performance test, or an active NIC (National Interpreter Certification) from RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) Experience supporting students in a high school setting is preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering accessible learning Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and parents
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver clear, accurate sign language interpretation for a male high school student during classroom instruction and school activities Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, and peers to ensure complete participation Adapt interpreting strategies to meet the educational and developmental needs of the student Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and compliance with ethical standards Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to student progress monitoring You'll appreciate competitive weekly pay, plus access to health, dental, and vision insurance.
