Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Educator Certification required Successful completion of the EIPA written test with a minimum score of 75% Either a 4.0 or higher on the EIPA performance assessment or hold an active National Interpreter Certification (NIC) from RID Previous experience in educational or school settings preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Commitment to ethical interpreting standards and professional conduct

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Providing accurate American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for students and staff during classroom instruction, assemblies, meetings, and other school events Adapting interpretation style to fit the unique needs and ages of students Collaborating with faculty, administration, and special education teams to support student learning goals Maintaining confidentiality and upholding professional boundaries at all times Assisting in fostering an inclusive, accessible, and positive school culture Staying current with industry best practices and continuing education requirements
