Desired Qualifications:
EIPA score of 3.0 or higher (required) Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Experience working with K-12 students preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliability, professionalism, and a collaborative approach
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver accurate, timely interpretation between spoken English and ASL for students and staff throughout the school day Facilitate communication both in the classroom and during extracurricular activities to ensure full student participation Support designated students access to curriculum, school events, and social interactions Consult with educators and support staff to implement best practices for accessible learning environments Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards as outlined by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Adapt interpreting strategies to diverse classroom subjects and student needs This is a fantastic chance to make a positive impact in the lives of students, while developing further experience in educational interpreting.
