9642490-21666 Job Description Take your expertise in sign language and communication to a rewarding contract position supporting students access to education. Work alongside educators and specialists to make a real difference for students with speech and language needs, providing services from October 1 through the end of December.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

Skilled in American Sign Language and experienced as a Sign Language Interpreter Familiarity with interpreting in educational settings, especially K-12 Experience working with language, articulation, and non-verbal communication, including AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices Able to collaborate with a diverse caseload (40-50 students) Capable of partnering with speech therapists to support individualized educational plans

Responsibilities:

Deliver sign language interpreting services within classrooms and school activities Facilitate communication between students, staff, and families Provide direct support to students with language and articulation needs, including those who use AAC devices Work Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, ensuring consistent, reliable support during school hours Collaborate with teachers, speech therapists, and other professionals to implement and monitor student progress Help create an inclusive and accessible learning environment for all assigned students If you are committed to empowering students through interpreting and teaching, this is a fantastic opportunity to do meaningful work in a supportive school environment.
