Job Description

Take this opportunity to make a meaningful difference by providing communication access to students as a full-time Sign Language Interpreter. This contract position is set within an educational environment, working closely with one student on a 1:1 basis for a school year calendar, offering steady and rewarding work from now until June 18, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
Minimum score of 75% on the EIPA written assessment Either a 4.0 or higher on the EIPA performance, or hold a current NIC or RID certification Demonstrated experience interpreting in 1:1 and/or small group settings At least two years of recent experience as an interpreter is preferred Proficient in American Sign Language, with the ability to effectively support students in a school setting
Responsibilities:
Serve as a 1:1 interpreter for a student throughout the academic year (180 student days) Facilitate clear and accurate communication between students, staff, and peers Collaborate with educators to support academic and social growth Adhere to professional confidentiality and ethical standards Commit to a schedule of 7 hours each day, 35 hours each week
