Located near Austin, MN, this contract role centers on providing essential 1:1 support to an 11th-grade student, ensuring access throughout all classes. Your interpreting skills will play a vital role in helping a dedicated student succeed academically and socially.

Key Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in ASL or Education Interpreting required Valid EIPA, RID, or NID certification Prior experience interpreting in educational settings is highly valued Skilled in facilitating communication between deaf/hard-of-hearing students and staff Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and strong organizational abilities

Responsibilities:

Deliver real-time interpretation for an individual 11th grader during all academic classes and school activities Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the ethical standards of interpreting Collaborate regularly with school staff, special education teams, and the students family to optimize communication access Support the students participation in both academic and extracurricular environments Document services provided, track student progress, and attend team meetings as requested Remain flexible and responsive to the students evolving communication needs throughout the school year
