Kansas City, MO Job Details Full-time 10 hours ago Qualifications Spanish High school diploma or GED Full Job Description The Patient Interpreter conducts general interpreting for staff, patients and their families in the Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center (SURHC) practices; provides medical interpretation of information, direction, service and support to all those who seek medical care. The goal at SURHC is to create and maintain an environment in which all members of the Care Team feel both respected and empowered to actively contribute to patient care and to the continuous improvement of the clinic's processes. Ensures that all staff, patients and their families experience a high degree of professionalism, compassion, and support; responds to questions, explain processes and procedures, and offer a genuinely helpful and service oriented response to all staff, patients and their families; ensures accurate processing and intake of all patient information through thorough and effective communication and interpreting; assesses and monitors patients' understanding of information conveyed; greets and interprets information for all incoming patients and their families who require interpreting in any practice of SURHC; thoroughly interprets and relays all relevant and necessary patient information to staff to ensure all pertinent details are obtained for all areas of SURHC; Thoroughly interprets answers to patients' and their families' questions; distributes required patient information and functions as a primary resource for interpreting patient questions and concerns; provides interpreting assistance for scheduling follow up visits. High School Diploma Requires bi-lingual skills (Spanish).
