Qualifications and Experience:

Proficient in American Sign Language, with a current ASLPI score of 4.1 or above Prior experience as a classroom or educational sign language interpreter preferred Comfortable working 1:1 with students and adapting to individual education needs Knowledge of educational settings, IEPs, and collaboration with teaching staff Strong interpersonal skills and ability to advocate appropriately for student needs Credentialed/licensed per state or district requirements for educational interpreters

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide direct interpreting services for a K-12 student in a school setting Ensure accurate and faithful interpretation between students, educators, and peers Support the students access to instructional content, activities, and school community Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to foster student growth Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times Participate in team meetings or professional development as needed
