Nevada Early Intervention Services (NEIS),

Las Vegas, NV Hourly Rate:

Up to $23.54, depending on experience

Schedule:

20-30 hours/week Monday through Friday; days and times may vary based on appointments Reliable Health Care Services is seeking a Spanish-bilingual interpreter to support Nevada Early Intervention Services (NEIS) . This position will assist children ages birth to 3 and their families by providing interpretation services between NEIS staff, clinicians, families, and caregivers during evaluations, therapy visits, service coordination meetings, specialty clinics, and family education sessions. Key Responsibilities, include: Attend eligibility meetings, Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) meetings, specialty clinics, evaluations, assessments, and family appointments to provide accurate Spanish/English verbal interpretation services Interpret IFSPs, evaluation results, procedural safeguards, treatment recommendations, services and supports, and high-level medical terminology for families and staff Provide accurate written and verbal translations of IFSPs, forms, therapy reports, progress notes, educational materials, newsletters, and other program-related documents Support providers and families during telehealth visits, office appointments, home visits, specialty clinics, and community-based services Document interpretation services, progress notes, communications, charting, and required reports in accordance with agency policies, procedures, and timelines Assist with appointment reminders, scheduling changes, family follow-up, and communication about services and appointments Provide families with resource information, referrals, and culturally sensitive support while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Use professional judgment to interpret accurately and neutrally, without adding, omitting, or altering information Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing education to remain current on program requirements and cultural sensitivity practices Travel to homes, offices, specialty clinics, and community settings as needed while supporting a family-centered, patient-centered, and trauma-informed approach to care

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required Fluency in English and Spanish required, including the ability to provide verbal and written translation Ability to demonstrate written and oral interpreting competencies through standardized testing Minimum of 1 year of professional healthcare interpreting experience Experience interpreting behavioral health, pediatric, developmental disability, education, or social service settings strongly preferred Experience working with children, families, and individuals with developmental disabilities preferred Knowledge of medical terminology preferred Official interpreter certification preferred Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all settings A valid Nevada driver's license in good standing, dependable transportation, and proof of insurance may be required

Work Setting:

A combination of office, telehealth, and in-home setting Frequent interaction with infants, toddlers, children with developmental delays or disabilities, caregivers, therapists, nurses, physicians, and other providers May involve travel throughout the community to support families in natural environments, such as homes, daycare settings, and neighborhood programs
