Qualifications:

National Certification in Sign Language Interpreting EIPA score of 3.5 or higher Strong command of ASL and educational interpreting practices Experience working with K-12 students preferred Excellent listening, interpersonal, and communication skills Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

Interpret spoken language into ASL and vice versa in classroom and school settings Facilitate clear communication between students, teachers, and peers Support students academic and social participation Assist in individualized education program (IEP) meetings as needed Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries Adapt interpreting style to meet diverse student needs This contract opportunity offers 32-40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, following the academic calendar.
