Job Overview We are seeking interpreter for the Capital Region ( Albany, Troy, Schenectady, Watervliet, Clifton Park, etc)
LOCAL ONLY.
We are seeking interpreters to facilitate communication between individuals who speak different languages or use different forms of communication, such as Albanian, Arabic, Portuguese, French, Wolof, Kinyarwanda, Swahili, etc . The ideal candidate will be multilingual and possess a strong understanding of linguistics, enabling them to interpret spoken and signed language accurately and effectively. This role is essential in ensuring clear communication in legal and educational environments. Responsibilities Interpret spoken language in real-time during meetings, conferences, or appointments. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while interpreting sensitive information. Skills Proficiency in multiple languages, with a strong emphasis on the ability to interpret accurately. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal. Strong understanding of linguistics and cultural nuances that affect language interpretation.
