Key Qualifications:

Proficiency in American Sign Language, with an ASLPI score of 4.1 or higher Experience working one-on-one with students in a school setting highly preferred Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and family members Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Appropriate certification and credentials as required for educational interpreting

Position Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated, individualized sign language interpreting for a student throughout the academic day Accurately relay classroom instruction, student participation, and peer interaction Adapt interpreting methods and support to meet the unique needs of the student and classroom environment Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions Participate in IEP meetings, staff discussions, and ongoing communication with the educational team to support student success
