9521101-97524 Job Description Step into a rewarding opportunity to support students' communication needs as a Sign Language Interpreter for the 2026-2027 school year. This onsite, full-time contract role will serve K-12 caseloads in the beautiful regions of Rosenburg and Douglas, OR. Make a meaningful contribution by fostering accessibility and inclusion in educational settings, working collaboratively with professionals and students throughout the academic year from August 24, 2026, to June 11, 2027.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid Oregon Sign Language Interpreter Certification/Licensure required Proficiency in expressive and receptive American Sign Language (ASL) skills Prior experience interpreting in educational environments, ideally with K-12 students Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional ethics Flexibility to adapt to various classroom assignments and student needs Positive, team-oriented attitude with effective interpersonal communication

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide accurate and timely sign language interpretation for students, teachers, and staff in classroom and school settings Facilitate effective communication to ensure students access curriculum and participate fully in school activities Collaborate with teachers and support staff to plan for interpreting services that best meet student needs Participate in IEP meetings, professional development sessions, and relevant school functions as needed Maintain accurate records and adhere to all district policies and procedures
