- $38 an hour 14 hours ago Qualifications School experience Educational interpretation Video remote interpretation Communication accessibility accommodations Communication with special education students American Sign Language Public school experience Bachelor's degree Interpretation experience within education industry Full Job Description Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's level degree in ASL or Educational Interpreting.EIPA Score:
3.5-4.5 (or higher). RID Certification preferred. NIC Certification preferred. Minimum 3+ years of professional experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings. Experience interpreting for K-12 students, teachers, and school staff in public schools and/or Schools for the Deaf in Alabama. Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL). Experience providing remote interpreting services for: Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings Remote educational interpretingResponsibilities:
Provide accurate and professional remote interpretation for students, teachers, parents, and school personnel. Support communication during classroom instruction, IEP meetings, medical appointments, and other virtual sessions. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional interpreting standards and ethics. Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and strong communication skills in a remote work environment.Compensation & Schedule:
Pay:
$32- 38 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
