This position involves facilitating effective communication for students and staff who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing through skilled sign language interpretation.

Ponca City, OK Key Responsibilities:

Deliver precise and clear American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation via telehealth platforms for educational purposes Support classroom communication, meetings, and other school-related activities requiring interpretation Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure accessibility and inclusiveness Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interpreting assignments Manage scheduling and coordination of interpreting sessions as needed

Qualifications and Experience:

Proficient in American Sign Language with demonstrated interpreting experience, especially in educational environments Experience with telehealth interpreting platforms preferred Strong understanding of Deaf culture and educational terminology Ability to work full-time, 37.5 hours per week Open to candidates with VOCO credentials (Verification of Certificate of Oralism) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
