Job Description

Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter - Telehealth Job Type Contract A position is available for a Sign Language Interpreter specializing in telehealth services to support a 14-year-old student. This role is based in Jasper, AL, and requires approximately 30 hours per week on a contract basis, starting as soon as possible with an end date around May 21st.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate communication by interpreting sign language for a student during telehealth sessions. Ensure accurate and clear interpretation tailored to the student's educational needs. Collaborate with educators and healthcare providers to support the student's learning and communication goals. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards in all interactions.
Desired Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with experience interpreting in educational or telehealth settings. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote communication technologies. Strong understanding of the specific communication needs of children and adolescents. Reliability and flexibility to accommodate scheduling and session requirements.
