Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Envision your next professional adventure as a Sign Language Interpreter supporting students onsite in a vibrant educational environment near Columbia, SC. This full-time contract role spans the academic year, beginning August 6, 2026, and concluding May 26, 2027, with 37.5 hours each week. You'll work closely with students and faculty, making communication accessible and inclusive while developing meaningful connections and honing your interpreting skills. Ideal candidates bring strong sign language fluency and are excited to facilitate learning in a dynamic school setting. Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Current credential as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) Minimum EIPA score of 3.5; completion of the written EIPA portion required Experience interpreting in educational environments preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt and respond to varying student and classroom needs
Primary Responsibilities:
