Key Qualifications:

ASLPI (American Sign Language Proficiency Interview) score of 4.1 or higher Certification or licensure to work as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings Previous experience providing 1:1 sign language interpretation in schools is preferred Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced classroom environment Commitment to student confidentiality and professionalism Positive attitude and collaborative spirit when working with staff and families

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver 1:1 sign language interpretation services to students in classroom and school-related activities Facilitate effective communication between students, teachers, and peers Support student participation and access to curriculum Maintain accurate records of interpreting services and student progress Collaborate closely with education professionals to ensure the best outcomes Participate in meetings, IEPs, and workshops as required
