Sign Language Interpreter (ASL) | Portsmouth, Virginia Soliant - 3.9 Portsmouth, VA Job Details Full-time | Contract 1 hour ago Qualifications American Sign Language Full Job Description Step into a dynamic educational environment as a full-time Sign Language Interpreter and American Sign Language (ASL) professional. This contract role begins as soon as possible and runs through June 11, 2027, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact in a school setting near Portsmouth, VA. Utilize your specialized skills to bridge communication for students and staff, fostering greater inclusion and learning opportunities. Candidates should hold a VQAS Level 2 or higher certification, unless presenting an EIPA score of 3.5 or above.

Qualifications & Experience:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Valid certification: VQAS Level 2 or higher, OR EIPA score of 3.5 or above Experience in educational settings, particularly K-12 environments, is highly preferred Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students Flexibility to adapt to varying classroom and student needs Professionalism, reliability, and a passion for supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
