Job Description

Outdoor Lighting Installation Technician Leading Edge Decorative Lighting is a Phoenix-area outdoor lighting company specializing in permanent, app-controlled lighting systems for residential and commercial properties. We are hiring a full-time Outdoor Lighting Installation Technician to join our installation team. This is an entry-level skilled-trade position with paid hands-on training and opportunities to advance as your installation skills, efficiency, and experience develop. Previous permanent-lighting experience is not required. What You'll Do Install permanent LED lighting systems on residential and commercial properties Measure, cut, mount, and secure aluminum lighting tracks Route and secure low-voltage wiring and cabling Seal and weatherproof connections Safely work from ladders up to approximately 30 feet and on residential roofs Use drills, impact drivers, hand tools, and other installation equipment Troubleshoot installation issues and make adjustments in the field Maintain clean and organized job sites Assist customers with basic operation of their lighting system and mobile app after installation Work professionally with customers and other members of the installation team Compensation Training pay is $20/hour. During your initial training period, you'll receive paid hands-on training to learn our products, installation methods, safety procedures, and workmanship standards. After successfully completing training, compensation transitions to an hourly base rate plus performance-based bonuses. The performance bonus is designed to reward technicians for developing their installation skills, efficiency, and productivity. As you become more experienced and productive, you have the opportunity to increase your total earnings. Total compensation after training will vary based on productivity, skill level, job assignments, and performance. Overtime is paid when applicable. Schedule Full-time position Approximately 35-50 hours per week depending on workload and seasonal demand Additional hours may be available during busier periods Field work takes place at customer properties throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area Work is performed outdoors and may include early morning start times Qualifications Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Comfortable working on ladders and roofs Able to lift approximately 50 pounds and perform the physical duties of the position Able to perform outdoor installation work in Arizona weather conditions Basic familiarity with hand tools and power tools Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to follow established installation and safety procedures Professional communication with customers and coworkers Willingness to learn and accept coaching Experience in low-voltage systems, construction, roofing, solar, gutters, electrical work, HVAC, cable installation, exterior home improvement, or another hands-on trade is helpful but not required. As technicians demonstrate installation quality, efficiency, technical knowledge, reliability, and the ability to work more independently, they may become eligible to advance into Technician II, Crew Lead, and other leadership opportunities.
