Position Summary We are looking for a motivated and technically inclined individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Cinema Technology Technician / Apprentice. This position is ideal for a recent high school, technical school, college, or university graduate who is interested in computers, networking, electronics, audiovisual systems, and technology and wants to develop a career in the professional cinema industry. Previous experience with movie theater equipment is not required. Training will be provided. The selected candidate will work alongside experienced technicians and receive hands-on training in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of professional digital cinema and audiovisual systems. Responsibilities The technician will assist with:

• Installation and maintenance of digital cinema projection systems.
• Basic troubleshooting of cinema projectors, servers, audio systems, and related equipment.
• Computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Configuration and troubleshooting of Ethernet networks, switches, routers, IP addresses, and network-connected equipment.
• Installation and termination of Ethernet/network cabling.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting using tools such as a digital multimeter.
• Installation and replacement of electronic and electrical components.
• Troubleshooting equipment using technical manuals, diagrams, and manufacturer documentation.
• Preventive maintenance of cinema and audiovisual equipment.
• Installation of racks, cables, computers, network equipment, and other technical hardware.
• Responding to emergency service calls when theater equipment fails.
• Traveling to movie theaters and customer locations throughout Florida.
• Documenting service calls, equipment problems, repairs, and solutions. Preferred Technical Background Candidates should have basic knowledge or a strong interest in several of the following areas: Computers

• Hard drives, SSDs, RAM, motherboards, and computer peripherals Networking
• Ethernet and TCP/IP fundamentals
• IP addresses, subnet masks, gateways, and DNS

• CAT5e/CAT6 cabling
• Basic network troubleshooting Electrical / Electronics
• Basic understanding of AC and DC electricity
• Voltage, current, resistance, and electrical safety
• Ability or willingness to learn how to use a multimeter
• Basic understanding of wiring, connectors, power supplies, and electronic components Knowledge of audio, video, projectors, cinema equipment, servers, Linux, electronics, or low-voltage systems is a plus but is not required. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is someone who:

• Is comfortable working inside projection booths, equipment rooms, and technical areas.
• Is willing to learn new technologies and manufacturer-specific systems. - Bilingual Spanish and English is a must. Education & Experience We welcome candidates who are:
• Recent high school graduates with strong technical interests.
• Technical or vocational school graduates.
• Recent college or university graduates.
• Students completing programs in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, Electronics, Electrical Technology, Audiovisual Technology, or related technical fields. Professional cinema experience is not required. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for their first professional technical position. Travel & Availability Requirements The position requires:
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel throughout Florida.
• Willingness to occasionally stay overnight when working at locations outside the local area.
• Flexible schedule when necessary.
• Availability for occasional evening, weekend, or after-hours service.
• Ability to respond to emergency technical service calls when required. Because movie theaters operate evenings, weekends, and holidays, some technical emergencies may occur outside normal business hours. Physical Requirements Candidate should be comfortable:
• Carrying tools and technical equipment.
• Working on ladders when properly trained and authorized.
• Working around equipment racks and projection systems.
• Installing and organizing cables.
• Occasionally lifting approximately 40-50 lbs.
• Working safely around electrical and electronic equipment.

Training & Career Development This is an apprentice-level position designed to develop the candidate into a professional cinema technician.

• Manufacturer-specific cinema equipment The goal is for the candidate to progressively develop the skills necessary to independently diagnose and service professional cinema systems.
