Seasonal Holiday Light Installer Southeast Lights - Hattiesburg, MS Seasonal Position | October through January Southeast Lights is hiring seasonal holiday light installers for the 2026 season. This is a hands-on installation position. There is no sales, estimating, collecting payments, or handling customer money. Your job is to install professional holiday lighting, maintain displays throughout the season when needed, and remove and organize the lights after the holidays. We are looking for dependable people who care about the quality of their work. Our customers are paying for professional holiday lighting, so every installation needs to look clean, straight, even, and well-organized. No holiday lighting experience is required. Training will be provided. Training & Season Training will be held on: October 1, 2026 October 2, 2026 Our first scheduled installation is October 5, 2026. The main installation season runs through October, November, and December. We typically stop installations shortly before Christmas. After New Year's, installers will return for the January takedown season. During takedowns, lights will be removed, color-coded, labeled, packaged, and prepared for storage for the following season. We expect to bring several applicants through training and select a smaller group for our primary installation crews. Responsibilities Install professional C9 Christmas lighting on residential and commercial properties Work with custom-cut SPT wire and C9 bulbs Measure, cut, connect, and route lighting correctly Install lighting evenly and neatly along rooflines, gutters, fascia, and other exterior areas Hide and organize extension cords and wiring Reinstall previously built lighting systems for returning customers Build custom lighting systems for new customers Work from ladders and on roofs when necessary Perform service calls when lights need adjustment, repair, or maintenance Remove holiday lighting after the season Color-code, label, organize, and package lighting for storage Keep work areas, materials, and equipment organized What We Are Looking For Attention to detail is one of the most important parts of this position. We are looking for someone who notices when something does not look right and fixes it.

Professional installations should have:

Straight and consistent bulb spacing Clean rooflines No loose or dangling wires Neat corners and transitions Properly secured lights Hidden wiring whenever possible A clean finished appearance from the street Quality is more important than simply finishing quickly. Requirements Comfortable working outdoors Comfortable working on ladders and roofs Physically able to perform exterior labor throughout the day Dependable and able to show up when scheduled Strong attention to detail Able to follow directions and installation standards Able to work as part of a two-person crew Willing to learn how to build and install custom lighting systems Available during October, November, December, and January takedown season Professional appearance and attitude Roofing, construction, gutter, landscaping, pressure washing, electrical, window cleaning, or other exterior labor experience is helpful but not required . Pay This is a production-based position, not an hourly position.

Installers are paid:

$1.00 per linear foot of lighting installed, per installer. Earnings will depend on installation volume, job size, weather, and production. Service calls and takedown work will be compensated separately. Schedule This is a seasonal position. Work volume will vary throughout the season based on customer demand and weather.
