Job Description
Production Technician (Skilled Technical Support) Reports to: Technical Director The Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts is seeking part-time Production Technician / Skilled Technical staff to support a wide range of performances, educational programming, rentals, festivals, and special events. Position Overview Production Technicians provide skilled technical support for performances and events, including audio, lighting, rigging, video systems, and stage management. Key Responsibilities Assist with and/or independently execute: Lighting hang, focus, and light board operation (L2) Lighting design - typically in a busking environment (L1) Audio setup, microphone selection, audio cabling and routing (A2) Audio mixing, performer communication, and system support (A1) Video, PTZ camera, and projection setup and operation (V2 and V1) Serve in technical roles such as: Audio Technician / Engineer Lighting Designer, Technician, Follow-Spot Operator Electrician Fly Operator / Loader / Rigger Deck crew with technical and troubleshooting responsibilities Assist with running shows and executing cues Support interpretation and implementation of technical needs for performances and rentals Maintain and organize technical equipment and backstage areas Additional Responsibilities (as assigned based on experience) Stage management support Audio / lighting / video system troubleshooting Equipment maintenance and minor repair Important Distinction This is a skilled technical role .
