Job Description

About the Role As the Director of Sports Performance (DSP), you'll play a vital role in coaching athletes and leading our coaching staff to ensure an exceptional member experience. Your expertise in sports performance will be key in conducting training sessions, mentoring coaches, and connecting with youth athletes.
Your Role:
Lead dynamic training sessions with predesigned programming while ensuring high-quality coaching delivery. Train and mentor coaching staff to enhance their effectiveness and performance. Open and close the facility, overseeing all programming communications. Deliver excellent service during training, performance testing, and large events. Engage with parents of current and prospective members to foster strong relationships. Collect and communicate performance data to track athlete progress. Maintain a strong commitment to a safe training environment, injury prevention best practices, and inclusive coaching
Expected Hours of Operation:
Approx time requirement for the
DSP:
30 hours per week or more , with variable weeks based on additional offerings from Redline (camps, clinics, team training, etc.) We expect to be open for classes M-F from ~3-7pm and Sat from 9am-noon. Operating hours may change slightly depending on membership growth and customer demand. The DSP is generally expected to be on-site during all operational hours (plus time before and after for setup and breakdown/cleaning). The DSP will also have the opportunity to offer 1-on-1 coaching to interested athletes outside of standard Redline training hours and may lead seasonal camps, etc.
Role Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, exercise and sports science, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 1-2 years of experience in sports performance coaching with athletes under 18. Current strength/performance certification i.e. NSCA-CSCS or
NASM-PES.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with youth athletes, families, and staff - building strong relationships in the community. A strong work ethic and a genuine passion for sports, health, and human performance. A motivational, knowledgeable, and positive attitude. An upbeat, polite, and patient demeanor, embodying the qualities of a fitness professional. We will also be hiring several Sport Performance Specialists (SPS) along with this DSP role.
IMPORTANT
- information about start date: Redline Littleton is still in its construction phase (pre-opening). This role will have an incredible chance to help shape the training environment of a brand new facility and help it grow into a staple in the community. We expect this role to start on or before Nov 16 . We are targeting an official launch date of Nov 30, but do have required training in Arizona that will take place the week of the 16th. The DSP will be compensated for training days and travel expenses will be paid by Redline Littleton. Should the opportunity arise for the right candidate, there may also be opportunities to host Redline training sessions in the community in Oct/Nov prior to our location officially opening.
