Finally, we believe that presence matters and we honor all in everything we do! About This Role The Production Director leads the production department at CLC's Fort Lauderdale campus. This role is responsible for all audio, lighting, staging, video, projection, and broadcast for weekend services, weekday gatherings, and special events. The Production Director also serves as the production connection point for all seven CLC campuses. This is first a leadership role and second a technical one. The Production Director builds, shepherds, and multiplies teams of staff, contractors, and volunteers. The goal is excellent production, done by healthy people, that helps our church encounter God and removes distractions from worship and the preached Word. The Production Director doesn't need to run every task personally. They are responsible for making sure every production need is met with excellence, on time, and within budget. Educational Requirements 5+ years of experience in live production, church production, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.

Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Shepherding Lead the production department with a clear vision that connects technical excellence to the mission and culture of CLC. Provide spiritual care and shepherding for production staff and volunteers. This includes knowing the team personally, praying for them, and walking with them through life and ministry. Directly supervise production staff and contractors. Set clear expectations, hold regular one-on-ones, give ongoing feedback, and conduct performance evaluations. Build a healthy, unified team culture marked by servanthood, humility, excellence, and joy. Lead team huddles, any necessary meetings/trainings, and debriefs that prepare people spiritually and practically. Resolve conflict and address performance or character concerns biblically and promptly. Model the character, work ethic, and spiritual maturity expected of CLC leaders. Partner closely with the Weekend Experience Pastor, worship leadership, and ministry leaders to support the overall vision of each service and event. 2. Recruitment, Training, and Development of People Recruitment Develop and carry out an ongoing strategy to recruit volunteers into every production area: audio, lighting, video, cameras, projection, and stage. Grow and expand production teams so they are fully staffed, healthy, and sustainable, with enough depth to prevent volunteer burnout. Work with CLC ministries and ministry leaders to identify and invite people into production ministry. Onboarding and Training Oversee CLC's existing production volunteer onboarding process, making sure it is being followed, working effectively, and improving over time. Make sure every volunteer and staff member is trained for their role, through the Production Director personally or through qualified staff, contractors, or team leaders. Create and maintain training resources such as role guides, checklists, and system documentation. Development Identify and raise up volunteers and future team leaders. Build clear growth steps so volunteers can advance in skill, responsibility, and leadership. Invest in the professional and spiritual growth of production staff. Regularly celebrate, honor, and appreciate volunteers and staff. 3. Production Oversight The Production Director oversees every area below. In each area, the Production Director makes sure the work gets done with excellence, whether it is carried out personally or by staff, contractors, or volunteers. Audio Oversee front-of-house, monitor, and broadcast audio for all services and events. Make sure sound systems are properly configured, tuned, and maintained. Support worship teams, speakers, and presenters with consistent, high-quality sound. Lighting Oversee lighting design and execution that supports the atmosphere and purpose of each service and event. Make sure lighting systems are programmed, operated, and maintained properly. Staging Oversee stage design, set pieces, stage changeovers, and stage readiness for services and events. Make sure the stage environment is safe, organized, and ready before every gathering. Video Oversee all video aspects of production, including cameras, image magnification, video playback, recording, and video projects. Make sure video content is prepared, reviewed, and ready for services and events. Coordinate with the Communications department and other ministries on video content. Projection Oversee all projection and display systems, including lyrics, sermon notes, graphics, and presentation content. Coordinate with the Communications department to integrate content into services and events smoothly. Broadcast Oversee the live stream and broadcast of services and events, making sure the online experience is consistent and high-quality. Make sure broadcast audio, video, and streaming systems are reliable, monitored, and have backup plans in place. Conduct regular quality checks and service reviews to keep improving the broadcast experience. 4. Services and Events Lead production for weekend services at the Fort Lauderdale campus. Oversee production for weekday church services, gatherings, and ministry events. Oversee production for weddings, funerals, and memorial services. Oversee production for outside events and facility rentals, including coordinating with clients and outside vendors. Maintain a production calendar and make sure every service and event is properly staffed and resourced. Lead production meetings, run-throughs, and rehearsals as needed. Serve as the on-call production contact for technical issues that come up. 5. Multi-Campus Connection Set and maintain production standards, systems, and best practices across all seven CLC campuses. Provide dotted-line leadership to campus production leads, serving as their point of connection, counsel, and support. Advise campuses on equipment purchases, upgrades, and technical decisions to keep systems consistent across CLC. Be available to support campuses when production issues come up. 6. Installations, Renovations, and Equipment Lead or coordinate production-related installations and renovations, working with contractors, vendors, and facilities. Make sure all installations meet safety, technical, and quality standards. Keep a complete inventory of production equipment. Oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements so equipment stays reliable. Plan for future equipment needs and technology upgrades. 7. Budget, Stewardship, and Revenue Manage the production department budget with integrity and wise stewardship. Manage and track equipment inventory. Track spending, get quotes, and make purchasing recommendations. Manage contractor and vendor relationships, including scheduling, scope of work, and cost. Help create revenue streams for the production department. QualificationsSpiritual and Character A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Leadership Proven experience leading and developing teams, including both staff and volunteers. Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and keep volunteers. Ability to build team culture, give clear direction, and hold others accountable with grace. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to stay calm and lead clearly under pressure, especially during live services. Technical Strong working knowledge of audio, lighting, staging, video, projection, and live streaming systems. Experience with live event or church production. Ability to troubleshoot technical problems quickly and effectively. Working knowledge of video production and editing workflows. Budget management experience. Physical Requirements and Work Environment Regularly lift, move, and set up production equipment. Work safely on lifts, ladders, and at heights. Stand and remain active for extended periods during services, events, and installations. Work a schedule of Sunday through Thursday, plus assigned evenings, weekends, and special events as needed. Be available on call to respond to production issues. Measures of Success Production teams are fully staffed, growing, and healthy. The volunteer onboarding process is running effectively and consistently. New volunteer leaders are being identified and developed. Recruitment of volunteers and staff/contractors remain strong. Services, events, and broadcasts run with excellence and minimal distraction. Campuses have clear production standards and a trusted point of connection. The department operates within budget, with possible growing revenue opportunities. Equipment is well maintained and reliable. Be obedient towards giving at least 10% of your earnings by tithing through CLC. We also strongly encourage that you support our global initiative through giving towards Kingdom Builders (Missions).
