OVERVIEW A
national multifamily operator is looking for a Director or Associate Director to take senior oversight of operations across its Midwest and Southwest portfolio. This is an executive-level role for someone who's run at scale before — someone comfortable in front of clients, running the numbers across multiple regions, and stepping into distressed or special-situation assets when the portfolio calls for it. ️
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Provide senior operational oversight across a multi-state multifamily portfolio Supervise, support, and influence a team of Regional Managers across the territory Run point on weekly leadership meetings, with agendas prepared and sent out on time Sit on every client call as the strategic point of contact and partner Take direct oversight of properties in receivership or REO status when they enter the portfolio Review portfolio-wide financial performance and hold regions accountable to plan Partner with ownership and the Senior Managing Director on portfolio strategy and reporting Step into underperforming markets or assets to diagnose issues and drive turnaround Represent the company externally with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders as needed

WHAT IT TAKES
8-10+ years of multifamily property management experience, including senior/director-level oversight of multiple regions or markets Direct experience with properties in receivership and/or REO status Comfortable running client relationships at a senior level, including live client calls Proven ability to lead and develop Regional Managers, not just review their reports Strong financial and operational command across a large, multi-state portfolio Familiar with Yardi and RentCafe (Voyager8 experience a strong plus) Organized, disciplined operator — meetings run on time, agendas go out, follow-through is real Comfortable traveling across a multi-state territory as needed Executive presence and strong communication skills, written and verbal
