Mascot Assistant Lehigh Valley Phantoms - 3.5 Allentown, PA Job Details 22 hours ago Qualifications Crowd interaction Maintaining an organized workspace Audience engagement for live performances Social media content creation Room tidying Clean workspace maintenance Communication skills Entry level Full Job Description We are looking for a creative and energetic person to take on the role of mascot assistant and backup performer for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and Lehigh Valley Spirits!
Job Functions:
Professionally represent the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and Spirits at games and events. Work closely with the Director of Game Presentation to develop skits, on-ice elements, in-game activations, photo and autograph opportunities, and other game-day elements. Act as a mascot handler at both games and select outside appearances. Capture content for social media. Help create, plan, and execute skits pertaining to theme night or current pop culture. Assist in preparation for the game as needed. Communicate with Energy Team, Game Day Coordinator, and Game Presentation Director. Follow script to adhere to schedule. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the game day room, including props and other accessories. Serve as the voice of our mascot team, conveying the emotions and backstory of the mascot. Perform in costume as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
18 years or older. Reliable transportation to the PPL Center or outside appearances. Excellent communication skills. Experience in costume is a plus. General hockey knowledge is a plus. Comfortable to adjust on the fly. Multitask in a fast-paced environment. Outgoing personality to connect mascot with the community. Available for all Phantoms home games (nights, weekends, holidays). Lift up to 30 lbs. and on feet for upwards of 5 hours.
