About the Role Grown Rogue is looking for an Illinois-based photographer/videographer to capture authentic, on-the-ground content at our Dwight cultivation facility and surrounding market. You'll work closely with our national Social Media Manager to plan shoots around harvest timing, strain releases, and product launches, and with our Illinois Marketing Manager to coordinate access and timing. This is an independent contractor engagement. Frequency of shoots will vary with harvest cycles, product launches, and market needs - expect roughly 4-5 shoot days per month, scheduled in advance. This role is a fit for a photographer who can work independently on a defined shot list, deliver files reliably and on schedule, and bring a genuine eye for cannabis and cultivation content - not only product photography, but the story of the plant, the grow, and the people behind it.

Role Description:

As a Graphic Designer at Grown Rogue, you will be responsible for creating visually compelling and on-brand assets that span digital campaigns, print collateral, sales materials, and retail packaging design. You will collaborate with both the Marketing and Sales teams, and this role is ideal for a designer who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment. This role plays a key part in shaping and maintaining the visual identity of the brand, ensuring consistency and quality, and elevating Grown Rogue's overall brand presence. What You'll Do Travel to and shoot on-site at the Dwight cultivation facility on a recurring basis, aligned with harvest cycles and product launch timelines. Capture a mix of photo and video content: flower at various stages in her lifecycle, macro shots, packaging, facility, grow-rooms, and team/culture moments. Coordinate scheduling directly with the Illinois Marketing Manager and Social Media Manager to confirm shoot dates, access, and shot lists in advance. Work from a brief provided ahead of each shoot, while bringing your own creative judgment on composition, lighting, and moments worth capturing. Deliver all files, both finished/edited selects and full raw, unedited footage, to Grown Rogue's shared drive within days of each shoot. All content produced under this engagement is Grown Rogue company property. Maintain basic photo/video organization (labeled folders, shoot dates, brief descriptions) so content is easy for the marketing team to locate and use. What You Bring A portfolio demonstrating strong photo and video work - cannabis photography experience strongly preferred. Resumes submitted without a portfolio will not be considered. Own professional-grade camera equipment, lenses, and lighting; reliable means of file transfer/delivery. Based in or able to reliably travel to the Dwight, Illinois area on a recurring basis. Comfortable working independently with minimal on-site direction. Reliable and organized - able to deliver complete files (including raw footage) on time, every time. 21+ years of age, able to pass any required Illinois cannabis facility visitor/vendor background and licensing requirements. Strong communication skills — responsive to scheduling requests and able to flag issues or delays early. Nice to Have Prior experience photographing in a licensed cannabis cultivation or processing facility. Video editing skills (short-form/social cuts) in addition to raw capture. Experience working with a remote/national marketing team and cloud-based file-sharing tools All applicants must include their portfolio.
