Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with scheduled travel and occasional evening or weekend shoots Anticipated start date: October 5, 2026

Based on experience Digital Motif Marketing is hiring a full-time Social Media Content Creator & Photographer to join our Knoxville team. We are looking for someone who can take an idea and turn it into content people actually want to watch. This person should be equally comfortable planning a shoot, capturing strong photography, filming short-form video, directing someone on camera, and editing everything into engaging social content. Professional social media experience is preferred, but it is not required. We are open to someone who is self-taught or has built their skills through personal projects, freelance work, school, internships, or creating on their own. What matters most is your work. We want to see strong creative instincts, an eye for photography, confidence behind the camera, and an understanding of what makes content work on social media. You will collaborate closely with our social media strategists, so you do not need to arrive knowing every part of social media management. We can teach the systems and strategy. We are looking for someone who is excited to learn, takes initiative, and can bring fresh ideas to the team. If your experience does not fit neatly into a traditional resume but you know you can create, we still want to see what you've got. What You'll Do Develop creative concepts and detailed shot lists Help shape monthly content plans alongside our social media team Capture professional photography for clients across multiple industries Film short-form content using professional equipment and an iPhone Edit Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, and other social-first videos Direct clients, talent, and team members on camera Prepare props, equipment, and locations for shoots Set up and manage lighting and audio Attend client strategy meetings and communicate confidently with clients Organize, edit, and deliver content assets efficiently Maintain, charge, and prepare production equipment Appear on camera when a concept calls for it Travel to client shoots in and outside Knoxville Occasionally work an evening or weekend shoot when required What We're Looking For A strong photography and video portfolio Strong creative instincts and an eye for visual storytelling Experience filming and editing short-form video Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts An understanding of what captures attention on social media Experience with professional cameras, lighting, and audio equipment Experience creating social-first graphics in Canva Confidence communicating with clients and directing people on camera Excellent organization, reliability, and attention to detail The ability to move between different client brands and visual styles Initiative and a willingness to learn The ability to receive feedback and make revisions efficiently A collaborative attitude and respect for deadlines A valid driver's license and reliable transportation Professional social media experience is a plus, but it is not required. A specific degree is not required. Your portfolio, creativity, work ethic, and willingness to learn matter more to us.
