The Photographer brings Four Hands' creative vision to life through high-quality architectural lifestyle and e-commerce photography, partnering closely with stylists, photographers, producers, and studio teams to deliver consistent, on-brand imagery. This role combines strong studio lighting and product photography expertise with disciplined production management, ensuring shoots meet quality, volume, and deadline expectations while maintaining accurate digital asset management and technical standards. The Photographer also helps maintain studio equipment and workflows, supports the Photography Director and Production Manager, and contributes to a collaborative, solutions-oriented team environment with flexibility to support evolving business needs. In This Role Work closely with stylists and studio partners to light, compose, and shoot architectural lifestyle vignettes that meet our brand, image, and lighting standards, keeping every campaign and category visually consistent Style, light, and shoot white silo photography of our pieces to current technical and aesthetic standards, delivering clean, accurate images for e-commerce and marketing Manage daily production with organization and attention to detail, meeting volume targets and deadlines without sacrificing quality Keep strong digital asset management practices — accurate file naming, color management, editing, metadata, and archived Capture One sessions — so retouching, marketing, and DAM teams can work smoothly downstream Support the Photography Director and Production Manager in setting the creative and technical bar for every studio deliverable Partner with photographers, stylists, producers, retouchers, and merchandising teams to stay aligned on creative intent, timelines, and business goals Watch over studio equipment — cameras, lighting, grip gear, and infrastructure — and flag maintenance needs early Bring flexibility, accountability, and a solutions-first mindset to the team, and pitch in wherever the group needs support Other duties as assigned, in accordance with training and qualifications Uphold the Core Values and be a valuable member of the Four Hands Team Be open and honest Reach for excellence Act with responsibility Value the whole person Enjoy the journey The Ideal Person 5+ years of experience of studio photography experience A strong handle on studio lighting techniques and product photography workflows Experience with Capture One, Adobe Creative Suite, and digital asset management systems The ability to balance creative quality with production efficiency in a fast-paced studio Strong organization and communication skills The physical ability to safely lift and move furniture and equipment up to 50 lbs The physical ability to occasionally climb a ladder Comfort working in low-light studio conditions Ability to work in the office/studio five days a week, with occasional ability to work offsite if needed Openness to occasional travel to furniture markets A collaborative, proactive, team-first approach About Four Hands Headquartered in Austin, Texas, since 1996, Four Hands crafts furniture, art and décor — pieces that are all about creating space.
