JOB DESCRIPTION

The AV Vegas Production Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of events. They work closely with Account Executives and Clients to understand their needs and objectives to then develop and implement a plan that will ensure each assigned event is successful. We are looking for an experienced people leader with a strong and deep technical background in audiovisual production, festivals, general sessions, headliner concerts, etc. Ideally you will have a bias towards action, a strong event production mindset, and a high level of technical curiosity.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

It is the primary responsibility of the Production Manager - to oversee, plan and manage all elements of events and productions for the events assigned to them. These will typically include some of our largest productions. Manage and develop growing onsite teams of AV event support engineers, freelancers and in-house production team members. Ensuring flawless and professional execution of event deployments. Support the larger production management team by sharing knowledge and experience, and by ensuring that their projects are as successful as your own. This position is a key member of the Production Team and is responsible for taking ownership of assigned events and is expected to manage each event with little supervision. Ensure that all staff are following OSHA and other Safety regulations, identify any safety hazards and ensure that measures are taken to rectify the issue until the situation is satisfied. Act as the face of AV Vegas while onsite. Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor. Prepare Show Advances for each assigned event, ensuring all technical requirements, specifications are procured prior to the event through working with Sales and Departments manager, Conducting/Attending Preliminary and Final Show meetings with appropriate personnel and clients to ensure all show requirements are met. Present and Load-in, Show and Load-out when necessary. Lead on-site personnel to execute the need of the event as written and expected in advance. Previous experience evaluating, testing, and deploying technology solutions to meet defined business needs

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES

Minimum (3) three years of people management experience with AV technical roles that require strong communication and team leadership. Minimum (3) three years of experience in live event production to include Concerts, Festivals, Corporate General Session and the like. Experience setting up and running AV production equipment (such as audio consoles, video switcher, wireless mic systems, broadcast cameras, video walls, lighting etc) Strong Troubleshooting skills Thorough understanding various aspects of event production in various venues ranging in size of Breakout Rooms to Arena sized concerts and can execute these types of deployments with ease. Previous experience in Stage Lighting, Pro Audio systems and Basic Video systems in a similar or related field Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays Polished appearance and demeanor Excellent customer service skills Strong production acumen and staying cool under pressure Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures Experienced in supervising and leading a production team Can work independently, as a team lead and around others Advanced knowledge in Rigging desired Proficiencies in the following a plus: Black Magic, Video Switchers, SMaart, Dante, Vmix, Resolume, Decimator, JBL, InFiled, Stageright, GrandMa, Hog, Flex and ZOHO, Asana and Slack.
