Job Summary Production planner/ inventory manager. This person will mainly be in the office but also needs to be in the shop on a regular basis. We need someone to chase open PO's and make sure things are arriving on time and accurately so we can plan shipments accordingly. This person HAS to get on the phone with the vendors, etc.. We are seeking a highly skilled Production Planner and Inventory Manager to join our operations team. This pivotal role involves orchestrating production schedules, managing inventory levels, and ensuring seamless coordination across manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced production management systems, ERP platforms, and supply chain analytics to optimize manufacturing efficiency, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers an opportunity to lead cross-functional teams, implement lean manufacturing principles, and drive operational excellence within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain detailed production schedules aligned with demand forecasts and capacity constraints Manage raw material and finished goods inventory levels using
SAP, ERP
systems, and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) tools Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to enhance throughput Analyze data using Microsoft Excel for inventory trends, production performance, and supply chain metrics Lead initiatives in lean management and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline operations and eliminate waste Oversee quality control procedures to ensure products meet established standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain management and plant operations Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, inventory records, and process improvements Support continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing manufacturing management systems
Requirements:
Proven experience in production management, manufacturing management, or supply chain operations Proficiency with
SAP, ERP
systems, MRP software, and supply chain analytics tools Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and process improvement techniques Expertise in production scheduling, inventory control, and plant management Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively within a fast-paced environment Excellent cross-functional communication skills to coordinate between departments Familiarity with quality control standards and lean management practices Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related field preferred If you are a proactive professional passionate about optimizing manufacturing processes through innovative planning and inventory strategies, we encourage you to apply.
