Job Description

Compensation:
$1,000 production stipend plus $45 per performance Position Overview We are seeking an organized, proactive, and collaborative Stage Manager to oversee the rehearsal and performance process for our Main Stage productions. The Stage Manager serves as the central point of communication between the director, cast, designers, and production staff, ensuring rehearsals and performances run safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Responsibilities Attend and manage all scheduled rehearsals and performances for assigned productions. Create and maintain rehearsal reports, performance reports, and production paperwork. Coordinate communication between the director, cast, crew, and production team. Maintain the rehearsal schedule and distribute daily updates as needed. Record blocking, cues, and production notes during rehearsals. Call lighting, sound, set, and other technical cues during performances. Ensure backstage operations run smoothly and safely during performances. Coordinate with technical staff on scene shifts, props, and backstage logistics. Assist with maintaining a positive, professional, and supportive rehearsal environment. Help enforce theatre policies and safety procedures throughout the production process. Qualifications Previous stage management experience in theatre preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to remain calm and adaptable in a fast-paced production environment. Excellent attention to detail and time management. Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by the production schedule. Experience calling technical cues is preferred. Passion for live theatre and collaborative storytelling.
