Job Description

Position Summary:
As Production & Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects related to sourcing fabric, replenishment, and product development of our company's products. Your role will involve working closely with the design team and suppliers to ensure that products are manufactured to meet the design aesthetic and company quality standards. You will facilitate cost negotiations, manage and create purchase orders, and ensure on-time delivery that aligns with our business strategies. Your role will require excellent communication, time management,and multitasking skills, as well as prior experience in production coordination sourcing. Supports company objectives in the areas of generating profitable sales revenue and inventory management. Help the company identify and apply solutions to problems that will reduce liability and maximize business opportunities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop a deep understanding of supplier capabilities, strengths, and areas for improvement. Drive alignment by creating and executing action plans that maximize supplier performance and partnership value.
  • Build and manage the design and production calendar to ensure on-time delivery aligned with business objectives. Oversee purchase order placement to ensure timelines support overall strategy.
  • Research, source, and onboard suppliers for fabric and production needs. Leverage PLM systems and reporting tools to analyze data and forecast inventory requirements.
  • Negotiate material and production costs to meet target margins and optimize profitability.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key external partners and internal stakeholders to improve speed to market, increase efficiency, and minimize delays.
  • Maintain accurate costing and status updates for all styles. Track goods daily across all stages (on order, in production, and in transit) to ensure adherence to the production calendar.
  • Ensure timely approvals and clear communication with supplier partners to maintain workflow continuity.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Marketing, Planning, and Operations to support seamless product execution.
  • Enforce shipping compliance by ensuring suppliers adhere to routing guidelines and operational procedures.
  • Oversee Bills of Lading (BOLs), customs documentation, and processing of production-related invoices.
  • Develop and implement production processes, structures, and policies to support scalable operations.
System Technology:
  • Experience or familiar with PLM & Production platforms as well as sales and inventory reporting tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel based tools for sales & inventory reporting & analysis.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business fashion, merchandising, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Previous experience in sourcing or production with a minimum of 3-5 years in a management role.
  • Demonstrate strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills.
  • Demonstrates leadership & ability to trouble shoot and problem solve.
  • Builds productive cross-functional relationships across various departments.
  • Strong oral & written communication skills.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift 15lbs.
