We will also consider remote candidates depending on experience. Missing Piece Group is a full-service music company: a publicity and marketing agency, and record label. We are looking for an enthusiastic and organized publicist with experience to join our team who will immediately assist on a wide range of publicity campaigns. The candidate must be comfortable working across genres on a broad range of different projects.
Responsibilities include:
Drafting, editing and servicing press releases, pitch emails, media alerts, and newsletters. Research and pitch local print, web, TV and radio to secure show previews, reviews, photo galleries tied to tour dates. Pitching and securing media opportunities across print, digital, TV, radio, and new media. Develop unique, thoughtful pitches that demonstrate your deep knowledge of both the talent and the media you're pitching. Assist with client relations, management, and communications with artists, managers, labels, etc. Maintain, research and organize our extensive contact database. Oversee internal and client reporting on responsible projects. Attend and coordinate logistics at concerts, events, listening parties, and in-person promo days.
Requirements:
1-5 years music publicity experience Strong knowledge of music, pop culture, and all types of media and the opportunities available for artists. Passion for music, attending live concerts and in-person events, and working within a team towards a common goal. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Willingness to ask questions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including being comfortable on the phone, in remote video conferences, and with in-person meetings. Must be open to working with all genres of music. Occasional night and weekend work. Knowledge of Google Workspace and all forms of social media.
