Dr. Gold Jewelry & Diamonds - Addison, Texas Full-Time | On-Site Dr. Gold Jewelry & Diamonds is looking for a highly organized, bilingual leader to manage the workflow between our custom jewelry, repair, and manufacturing departments. Our operation includes three connected divisions: our retail jewelry store, our custom design and repair-intake department, and our jewelry manufacturing and repair department. We are seeking someone who can keep these departments aligned, improve communication, establish accountability, and ensure every job is completed accurately, profitably, and on time. The successful candidate must be fluent in both English and Spanish and able to communicate effectively between team members, customers, salespeople, designers, and bench jewelers. Key Responsibilities Lead the daily operations of the custom design, repair, and manufacturing departments. Assign and prioritize daily work for jewelers, designers, and other production employees. Conduct daily production meetings to review priorities, deadlines, job requirements, and potential challenges. Act as the primary communication link between the retail, custom, and manufacturing teams. Ensure job orders contain complete and accurate information before work begins. Review custom-job estimates, pricing, labour charges, material costs, and invoices for accuracy. Confirm that all completed work is properly billed before being returned or delivered. Monitor deadlines and prevent unrealistic promises from being made to customers or industry partners. Track every custom order and repair throughout the entire process to prevent jobs from being delayed, misplaced, or overlooked. Hold employees accountable for quality, productivity, communication, and deadlines. Identify breakdowns in workflow and implement practical solutions. Create and maintain processes, checklists, job-tracking systems, and standard operating procedures. Resolve communication issues and workplace conflict professionally and promptly. Monitor rework, billing errors, missed charges, late jobs, and other issues that affect profitability. Provide management with regular updates regarding workflow, outstanding jobs, production concerns, and department performance. Protect Dr. Gold's reputation by ensuring every commitment is realistic and every finished piece meets our quality standards. Required Qualifications Fluent in English and Spanish. Previous leadership or management experience in jewelry production, custom manufacturing, repairs, or a comparable production environment. Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through. Experience managing multiple jobs, employees, and deadlines at the same time. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to hold employees accountable and have direct, professional conversations when expectations are not met. Experience developing systems and improving operational efficiency. Working knowledge of invoicing, job costing, pricing, labour charges, and profitability. Comfortable using job-tracking, point-of-sale, inventory, or production-management systems. Able to work on-site and remain actively involved in daily operations. Preferred Qualifications Experience in custom jewelry manufacturing, jewelry repair, or working with bench jewelers. Understanding of jewelry terminology, metals, stones, casting, setting, polishing, CAD design, and repair processes. Experience managing both customer-facing and production employees. Experience creating standard operating procedures and quality-control systems. $25.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 38.0 - 42.0 per week
