Overview:

804Live is seeking a Technical Production Manager to lead the advancement and technical execution of concerts, live events, and private events throughout CarMax Park. This role serves as the primary liaison between touring production teams, promoters, clients, and internal departments to ensure all technical requirements are met and events are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. This position will assist with all aspects of event technology, including LED displays, video boards, televisions, audio systems, staging, lighting coordination, communications, and other production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Concert Advancing Serve as the primary technical contact for all concerts and entertainment events. Work with the Public Events Manager to review artist and technical riders, production specifications, and conduct advance calls with tour managers, production managers, promoters, and clients. Develop and distribute production schedules, stage plots, load-in/load-out timelines, and event production notes. Schedule and supervise technical labor for events including load-in / load-out and run of show. Oversee load-in, soundcheck, performance and load-out for all events. Ensure all technical requirements are communicated and executed prior to event day. Private Events & AV Support Serve as the primary technical resource for all private and corporate events, working with the Private Events Manager to assess client AV requirements, review event layouts and production needs, and determine appropriate technical solutions, equipment, and staffing. Support the technical execution of private events, including microphones, speakers, televisions, projectors, LED displays, presentation systems, video playback, music, and other AV needs, coordinating setup, operation, breakdown, on-site support, and troubleshooting. Coordinate with outside AV companies and production vendors when additional equipment or services are required, including developing AV quotes and assisting the Private Events Manager with determining appropriate equipment rental and labor costs. Help develop standardized AV packages and offerings that can be incorporated into private event proposals and contracts. Production Management Oversee all technical production during concerts and special events, including troubleshooting technical issues before and during events. Assist in the management of the venue's AV and production systems, including LED video walls, stadium and venue televisions, digital signage, sound reinforcement and stage audio systems, playback and presentation equipment, video switching and routing, and communications systems. Coordinate vendors and production contractors when applicable. Ensure all production equipment is properly maintained and event ready. Venue Technology Assist in managing the venue's AV systems and recommend upgrades or improvements as necessary. Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance with vendors and internal engineering teams. Maintain inventory of technical equipment and production assets. Assist in budgeting for production equipment purchases and rentals. Stay current on industry technology and best practices.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in technical production for live entertainment and / or events,, AV, or a related field, with concert and/or large-scale event experience preferred. Strong knowledge of venue audio, video, lighting, staging necessary, with an understanding of LED/display systems, communications, and event production technology helpful. Experience advancing events and coordinating technical requirements with touring production teams, promoters, clients, vendors, and internal teams. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret technical riders, production specifications, stage plots, and event layouts. Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, event-driven environment. Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required by business operations.
