Summary:

The Production Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and participating in the operations and activities of the Production and Installation team. You are a hands-on leader, detail oriented and possess strong mechanical aptitude as it relates to assembly, installations and build techniques. You are able to track multiple facets of projects in various stages of their life cycle.

Essential Responsibilities:

Recruit and manage warehouse personnel: Oversee the staff to achieve a satisfactory workflow. Establish and manage a cross-functional team that places value on a collaborative environment. Empower team members to take ownership. Motivate team members to be proactive and creative in their resolution techniques. Evaluate the work of the project team against goals and objectives of the project. Provide feedback. Follow up on items requiring improvement, continue to offer feedback, direction, and recognition as appropriate. Maintain a safe work environment and lead by example in the office and in the field. Monitor and consult on the performance of project production: Direct the proper assembly, building, packaging, and logistics of goods, products and displays according to plans and instructions. Identify opportunities for performance improvement and process redesign. Lead and implement changes, which benefit the project and performance of the team Approach a complex task or problem by breaking it down and considering each part in detail. When deciding, weigh the costs, benefits, risks, and chances for success. Define clear and quantifiable objectives, goals, deliverables, and standards to be met. Identify missing or incomplete work and initiate steps to correct or complete the work that needs to be done. Strive to continue to develop and maintain a depth and breadth of knowledge of our multiple industries, functions, and processes. Create and publish weekly and monthly production schedules based upon all available information.

Establish and maintain project controls:

Assess risk levels associated with the project such as the purpose of the project or durability aspects. Maintain systems of organization that are efficient, accurate and complete. Be able to provide hands-on assistance in building and/or installation as needed. Accurately record all daily activities on a timecard. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

5+ years' experience as a production lead, including supervisory experience. Prior experience in planning installations and lead installation crews. Office 365 and Project Management Software experience required. Knowledge in working with the following preferred; furniture making, exhibits, display, events, finishing, acrylic, fiberglass, solid surface, sound, lighting, low voltage wiring and electronics. SKILLS Strong interpersonal, collaboration, negotiation, conflict resolution, and influencing skills. Good written/oral communication; active listening skills. Demonstrates flexibility in constructive problem solving, navigating change, and overcoming challenges. Maintain an objective, fact-based perspective and encourage teams to display transparency on status. Demonstrated accurate record keeping skills.

ABILITIES

Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and respond appropriately to constant change in priorities and services. Ability to exercise good judgment in maintaining a safe work environment and be an advocate for safety best practices. Read and understand blueprints and layouts. Safely operate hand tools and power tools, pallet jack and/or hand truck.

Communicate and express ideas and exchange accurate information. Move about a manufacturing environment in both seasonally cold/hot environments. Ability to lift 75 pounds.
