Do you love discovering what makes a community unique? If so, we'd love to meet you. METV is seeking an energetic, outgoing Community On-Air Television Reporter & Producer to become one of the faces of our nonprofit community television station. This is an opportunity to create engaging local content that informs, inspires, and celebrates everything Manatee County has to offer. We're looking for someone with a passion to tell stories that people want to watch every day. This is more than a reporting job. You'll have the freedom to tell positive, impactful stories that celebrate the people, places, and organizations that make Manatee County thrive. You'll join a collaborative team of experienced video professionals dedicated to creating content that residents look forward to watching every day. What You'll Do Host and produce short-form video segments for television, streaming, and social media. Develop story ideas that highlight the people, places, nonprofits, and events that make Manatee County special. Conduct engaging on-camera interviews with community leaders, residents, and local organizations. Write, shoot, and edit compelling stories from concept to completion. Build relationships throughout the community to uncover unique stories. Help create programming that encourages viewers to make METV part of their daily routine. Collaborate with the production team to develop fresh and innovative content. What We're Looking For Experience in television news, journalism, multimedia production, or a related field preferred. Strong on-camera presence and excellent communication skills. A natural storyteller with curiosity and creativity. Comfortable interviewing people from all walks of life. Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects. Passion for serving the community and showcasing the best of Manatee County. Ability to work some evenings or weekends to cover community events. Bonus Qualifications News reporting or anchoring experience. Experience producing content for digital and social media platforms. Drone pilot certification or photography experience. Knowledge of Manatee County and its communities. Why Join METV?
