Storyteller Documentarian Creative Partner You have been designing this role for almost a year! and then you and I met… It has become increasingly clear that your role will become an instrumental part of expanding our voice and our vision. Dot to Dot is entering its 11th year working alongside young children, families and educators. Through that work, we've found ourselves sitting inside a much larger question: In a world racing to build artificial intelligence, what does it mean to guard human intelligence? Our Intuition. Relationships. Empathy. Wonder. Connection to nature. Consciousness. Our capacity to love, imagine, question and make meaning, being one with life, living in chitta We believe young children offer an extraordinary window into these dimensions of being human. And we believe these stories and questions need to travel. We're looking for the person who can help them. This isn't a traditional content role. You'll work directly alongside our founder, Mazi Irani . Sometimes you'll ride with her between schools while a conversation becomes an idea. Sometimes you'll walk into a classroom and recognize something extraordinary unfolding between children. Sometimes you'll sit in a meeting, interview a grandparent, capture a founder reflection or hear a question worth taking much further. Your job is to be close enough to the work to recognize: There's a story here. And then help that story reach the world.

We want these stories to reach a mother trying to understand her child. An educator tapping into a new dimensions of themselves to better understand children A researcher studying human development A leader shaping education policy. People and companies at the forefront of building artificial intelligence. Someone exploring consciousness or spirituality. And humans around the world asking what we should protect as technology changes what is possible. How do we learn through children to design a world that can co-exist with AI We want this work to create wonder. To inspire. To unite. To challenge assumptions. To ask courageous questions about childhood, intelligence and the essence of being human. Your work can be described in five words: SEE Notice what other people walk past. CAPTURE Film, photograph, record and document authentic moments without turning real life into a performance.

Listen deeply. Ask the next question. Recognize an unfinished thought and know when to say, "Tell me more." CREATE Transform what you discover into short films, Reels, photography, writing, interviews, podcasts, founder reflections and eventually longer-form documentary work. AMPLIFY Ship. Publish. Experiment. Repurpose. Use AI intelligently. Help ideas travel far beyond the room where they began. The human we're looking for You are deeply curious about people. You believe humanity is worth protecting. You're interested in childhood, human intelligence and the extraordinary moment we're living through as artificial intelligence develops. You may also be curious about consciousness, spirituality, intuition, human development, education, science or questions we haven't thought to ask yet. You are intuitive enough to sense when something matters. Emotionally intelligent enough to know when not to turn on the camera. Courageous enough to ask important questions. Creative enough to see possibilities. And resourceful enough to actually make them happen. You don't just collect ideas. You execute. You may come from documentary filmmaking, journalism, videography, photography, podcasting, writing, social storytelling, creative production, education—or somewhere completely unexpected. Technical ability matters. How you see matters more. Human storytelling + AI We want someone fascinated by the intersection of deeply human storytelling and emerging technology. You should be comfortable experimenting with tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, transcription, editing and creative AI to dramatically increase what one talented human can create. We're not interested in using AI to make our stories less human. We're interested in using it to help human stories travel further. The opportunity We'll begin with approximately 10-15 hours/week , primarily in person in San Diego, during a 90-day founding period. For the right person, we believe this could grow into a significant long-term creative partnership.
