As a vital member of our news team, you will be responsible for gathering, reporting, and delivering accurate, engaging, and timely news coverage from various locations. Your role will involve capturing high-quality footage, conducting interviews, and ensuring all content aligns with journalistic standards. This position offers a dynamic environment where your storytelling skills and passion for journalism will shine, connecting audiences with the stories that matter most. Duties Cover breaking news stories on location, providing live reports and updates to viewers. Conduct interviews with community members, officials, and experts to gather relevant information. Capture high-quality video footage and photographs that support news stories using professional videography and photography techniques. Edit video segments efficiently to produce polished news reports suitable for broadcast and social media platforms. Fact-check information thoroughly to ensure accuracy and maintain journalistic integrity. Write clear, concise scripts and copy that adhere to AP style guidelines for consistency and professionalism. Manage social media accounts by posting updates, engaging with viewers, and promoting upcoming stories. Skills Strong understanding of AP style for writing and editing news content. Proficiency in video production, videography, editing software, and photography equipment. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to reach diverse audiences effectively. Excellent communication skills for conducting interviews and engaging with the community. Sharp research skills to verify facts quickly in fast-paced news environments. Ability to proofread and copy edit scripts for clarity, accuracy, and grammatical correctness. Experience in social media management to expand story reach and audience engagement.
