THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
Brings A block, enterprise pitches to the table every day. Knows what's going on in the market and the world at large, online and IRL. Tells a great story on any platform. From live breaking news to a quick VOSOT, social post, web piece or in-depth interview. Understands news is 24 hour a day business requiring nights, weekends and holidays. Develops sources and relationships in the community, local government, law enforcement and industry. Understands the fundamental importance of journalistic ethics, objectivity and public trust. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 4 years on-air reporting experience in a commercial newsroom. Comfortable with strict deadlines. Understands why he/she has two ears and one mouth. Desire to grow as a reporter and storyteller. Comfortable with challenging feedback. Bachelor's Degree in Journalism or a related field. The hourly compensation range for this role is $43.27 to $53.45. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
