  • Part-time As part of the Event Production Crew
  • Scenic Build & Assembly , you will be responsible for supporting the fabrication, assembly, installation of scenic elements, custom sets and event environments for a variety of productions and events. This role is ideal for someone with event production experience who also has a strong background in scenic construction and hands-on set building. Key Responsibilities
  • Build, assemble, install, scenic elements, custom sets, props, backdrops, and staging components for events and productions.
  • Support shop fabrication and pre-production build work based on renderings, design plans, and production direction.
  • Interpret drawings, layouts, measurements, and creative plans to execute scenic builds accurately.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, assemble, and install scenic components with precision.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, transportation, and on-site setup of event materials and scenic pieces.
  • Work collaboratively with production teams, designers, fabricators, and stagehands to meet event deadlines and install schedules.
  • Perform touch-ups, repairs, and adjustments to scenic elements as needed during prep, install, or event execution.
  • Maintain organization of tools, materials, and workspaces in the shop, warehouse, and event site.
  • Follow all safety procedures and proper PPE requirements while working in fabrication spaces and live event environments.
  • Assist with general event production labor, including setup, breakdown, staging support, and warehouse prep. Qualifications
  • Experience in event production, stagehand work, scenic construction, set building, or related hands-on production environments.
  • Scenic build experience strongly preferred, including fabrication and assembly of scenic elements for events, theater, or live productions.
  • Ability to read and interpret renderings, build plans, measurements, and technical drawings.
  • Comfortable using a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality execution.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Flexible, dependable, and able to adapt to changing timelines and production needs.
  • Understanding of workplace, warehouse, and event-site safety practices.
  • Valid driver's license preferred. Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods, including shifts of 10+ hours in shop, warehouse, and event-site environments.
  • Must be able to repeatedly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds without assistance and assist with moving heavier or oversized materials using team lift procedures or equipment .
  • Must be able to frequently bend, kneel, crouch, stoop, reach overhead, and work in tight or awkward spaces during build, load-in, and strike.
  • Must be able to load, unload, and transport scenic elements, staging materials, tools, and equipment throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, work at elevated heights, and safely maintain balance and control while installing or removing scenic elements .
  • Must be able to use hands continuously for gripping, grasping, twisting, turning, and operating hand and power tools .
  • Must be able to perform repetitive physical tasks including assembling, disassembling, fastening, measuring, hammering, drilling, and material handling.
  • Must be able to work in dusty, noisy, indoor, and outdoor environments , and in varying temperatures depending on venue or job site conditions.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment and follow all job site safety requirements.
Pay:
$26.00
