We are seeking a full-time/part-time Art Consultant to join our Laguna Beach gallery. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the fine art industry while working in a beautiful gallery setting. About the Role As an Art Consultant, you'll create an exceptional gallery experience for our clients. You'll build lasting relationships with collectors and visitors, provide knowledgeable guidance on our artwork, and help drive gallery sales. This role is ideal for someone who is personable, organized, detail-oriented, and motivated by both customer service and sales. Schedule Full-time position Minimum availability of 3•days per week•, including weekends and holidays as needed - With the option to grow into 5 days per week We are looking for someone interested in a long-term position with opportunities to grow Compensation $20.00 per hour Commission on gallery sales , providing excellent earning potential for motivated sales professionals Responsibilities Welcome and engage gallery visitors in a warm, professional manner Build meaningful relationships with clients and collectors Consult with customers to help them find artwork that fits their style, space, and budget Process sales and maintain accurate client records Assist with gallery presentation, inventory, and merchandising Help install, move, and reposition artwork throughout the gallery as needed Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of the gallery, including daily opening and closing duties Assist with general gallery upkeep to ensure a polished and welcoming environment Support gallery events, artist receptions, and special exhibitions Qualifications Previous sales experience required; 5-10 years (luxury retail, art, design, jewelry, hospitality, or similar customer-focused sales experience preferred) Comfortable building long-term customer relationships and providing exceptional service Strong communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities Proficient with Mac computers and comfortable learning gallery software Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently Professional appearance and positive attitude Passion for art and design is a plus Physical Requirements Ability to safely lift and move artwork weighing up to 20 pounds Comfortable standing and walking throughout the workday Able to move artwork and assist with gallery installations and displays Capable of performing routine gallery maintenance tasks and keeping the space presentation-ready If you enjoy working with people, have a talent for consultative sales, and are looking for a rewarding long-term opportunity in a creative environment, we'd love to hear from you.To Apply:
